In Poker Face, Natasha Lyonne ( Russian Doll, Orange Is the New Black) plays Charlie Cale, a former casino worker with a knack for spotting lies who also solves case-of-the-week mysteries. Lyonne’s Charlie, when we meet her, is content with life. Thankfully, fuelled by Johnson and his writing team’s sharp scripting, a smorgasbord of starry cameos, and an instantly likeable leading lady, it more than delivers on all that promise. ![]() The series brilliantly utilizes the 'Howcatchem' format. If you can’t wait that long to hop in Charlie’s Plymouth Barracuda, the series is currently streaming on Peacock. Just in case you're on the fence regarding the series, here are 19 reasons why enjoying Poker Face shouldn't be much of a mystery at all: 1.
